December 2004-- Passero Associates was honored to receive the National Award for Excellence In Concrete Pavement, presented by the American Concrete Pavement Association. This award was In Recognition of Outstanding Design and Construction for the Reconstruction of Taxiway “C” and of Runway 8-26 at Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Ultra-Thin Whitetopping, an innovative product pioneered by Passero in Florida airports, was used to rehabilitate the taxiway and the runway. This method ensures longevity for the road surfaces, low maintenance, increased safety and reduced costs. Andrew Holesko, CM and Wayne Wegman, PE were on hand to accept this award on behalf of Passero Associates at the Concrete Pavement Association’s gala event December 4, 2004.
