July 2008 - Three senior staff members of Passero Associates LLC (PA) recently earned Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) certification. Jack Karibo, Program Manager; Sara Massey, Aviation Planner; and Lisa Cheung, Aviation Planner attended a comprehensive course required for all airport personnel to be certified as ASCs. This certification course, taught by Lorena Rodriguez, President of AviaEd Adaptive Training Services, is recognized by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and was held in Rochester, New York on June 26, 2008.
With ASC-certified staff, PA brings an enhanced understanding of airport security requirements to its aviation clients. This knowledge and training enables PA to assist commercial service and general aviation airports with Airport Security Programs (ASP), which are required in Florida and New York in order to receive state funding. PA’s trained personnel can take on the task of drafting and updating these ASPs for current and future clients.
