December 2005--Passero Associates, a professional services firm providing engineering, architectural and environmental services, announced today that Wayne F. Wegman, PE, has been appointed President and the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer, succeeding longtime leader and founder, Gary W. Passero, PE, REM, F.ASCE who will continue as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. The transition is effective January 1, 2006.

Mr. Wegman joined Passero Associates 29 years ago as an engineer and was admitted to the firm’s partnership in 1985. He currently serves as Principal-In-Charge of the Airport Design Services Department. Under his leadership, Passero has become a regional leader in providing Airport Consulting Services, and currently services 20 airports throughout the East Coast.

In his new role as President and COO, Mr. Wegman will oversee the company’s internal operations, will provide leadership to all departments of the firm, and will strengthen the firm’s values and culture in both its internal and external operations. He will continue to foster supportive client relationships and to build the client base of the firm.
