Passero Associates to Assist Watertown
International Airport in Obtaining Grant Funding for Improvements

firm Passero Associates has been selected by Jefferson County
for a five-year term agreement to provide professional consultant
services for the Watertown International Airport. Passero Associates
will assist Jefferson County with obtaining federal and state
grant funding to implement improvements at the airport.

as airport consultants for Watertown International Airport,”
said Wayne Wegman, PE, President of Passero Associates. He continued,
“We will draw on our more than 20 years of experience serving
New York airports to assist Jefferson County in the safety and
capacity improvements at this facility. Our focus will extend
beyond providing engineering services for capital improvement
needs – we will assist Jefferson County with their goals
of improving air service and creating an airport that is an asset
for the community.”
Watertown International Airport is a commercial
service facility with daily flights to and from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
in addition to serving the corporate and general aviation needs
of the area. The airport consists of two 5,000 foot long runways,
an approach lighting system, and instrument approach facilities.
Planned improvements include renovations to the terminal building,
rehabilitating airport pavements, and upgrades to the facility.
