Hitting the runway as one of 12 local architecture and engineering firms participating in Fashion Week of Rochester 2019 supporting the The Center for Youth as part of AIA Rochester's Product Runway. Firms were tasked with creating an outfit inspired by local Rochester architecture and constructed from building finish materials provided by local vendors.
Our team created an outfit inspired by St. Joseph's Park and the former church there. With carpet and upholstery, we designed an outfit that would reflect the sober and dignified nature of the church ruins by using muted colors. Big thanks to our product reps Sarah Parsons from Arc-Com Fabrics and Gary Graus from Mohawk Group for providing all of the materials. Special thanks to our runway model Leah Przybylski, and to Abby Cook, Dustin Welch, Emily Connors, Christina Baird, Austin Goodwin, and Mira Mejibovsky for many long nights spent constructing the outfit in the office. Also, thanks to Hillary Faulkner from CJS Architects for doing the hair and makeup. We single-handedly advanced carpet clothing technology by a hundred years and represented Passero in the fashion scene!
